Where is the virtue of transparency? If the solid represents the materiality of substance, the essence of reality and the tangibility of things, the transparent is an agent that interposes itself and separates us from the truth.

The transparent puts reality partially within our reach: we only see it, but we cannot touch it. It is like a cage.

The transparent is fragile: in a moment it can cease to exist.

The transparent is false: it plays at deceiving us, at making us believe that it does not exist.

Through the lens, the camera does not register reality, only the dimension that transparency allows.
